So, because of this amazing creature ive bought, i will be doing a monthly film reveiw on all the films i see within that month. Its better and easier than me doing one post per film i see, also if anyone reads this then they know if they should risk the film or even tell me what you think (go ahead and argue with my opinion) ;)!
Ive merged April and May together because i only saw one film in May, stupid a levels getting in the way ;)
The Blind Side (Now on DVD)
I cried and cried and cried! This is one of the most beautiful and inspiring films going, and what makes it even more inspiring is that it is based on a true story. I dont wana spoil it if youve not seen it, so all im going to say is go to blockbuster, or asda, or hmv and buy or rent this film! I am ;)
Remember Me (Now on DVD)
Now i dont know if this is because i was really tired, or if its the film but it was a very very slow film (please argue with me on this point if you wish). The only time i felt any emotion in this film was when it was 9/11, and i think its only because of the emotional attachment most of the world have to 9/11 that i cried. Also, how dare they spring that on me! I had no idea what would happen, or what the film is about and something that major happened, freaked me out. So ill be honest, ive seen better films and i wont be buying this off Amazon however it was nice to see Rob without his vampire-ness.
Nanny McPhee & The Big Bang (Still in Cinema)
I saw this with my family, and i will admit that this is one of the most genuinelly best sequel films ever! If you thought the first one was great, you will think this one was amazing. You feel soo many emotions watching this that you leave the cinema with so so much to talk about! It is still in some cinemas, but i do beleive that when its out on dvd i will buy it.
Kick-Ass (Still in Cinema)
Please tell me i wasnt the only one who left the cinema claiming i was Hit Girl?! This film is actually EPIC and amazing, but its not for people who dont like really bad language and lots of blood. But i loved it, when its on dvd its mine and i will be watching it with all the lads i beleive, because the girls in the cinema did not see it as their cup of tea? Honestly, you have to see this! I mean it, or ill kick your ass! ;D
Clash of the Titans in 3D and 2D (Still in Cinema)
Yeah, i saw it in 2D with my friends, and 3D with my family. And there was no difference in either! Nothing jumped out at me and nothing made me say 'woaah' in terms of graphics. But other than it being pointless in 3D, it is actually a good film. I beleive it is a remake? Ive never seen the original so i cant compare, but i have to say this film is cool. I probably wouldnt buy it on dvd, but if was ever on sky movies id sit down for a nosey.
Date Night (Still in Cinema)
Me and my friend Tara were the only non-couple in the room! So that was awkward. But OH MY GOSH this film is soo funny. I promise you tears were pouring out of my eyes, and i could not stop laughing. I will definately have this on dvd! If i dont then im crazy! This is also a promising new quoteable movie, heres one: "They stabbed a chicken nugget with a sharpie, these are bad people!". Ahhh, just watch it, because even the trailer makes you laugh. ;)
Dear John (Now on DVD)
I am currently reading the book, so i will compare the film and book another time, watch this space. Now, ill be honest.. 2 annoying little girls had a burping competition throughout the whole film so i didnt see or hear much of what. But what i did manage to concentrate on, i enjoyed.. oh yeah and cried. I dont think i will buy this on dvd, but again if its on sky movies ill watch it.
Alice in Wonderland 3D (Now on DVD)
I am having a massive debate on whether to buy this on dvd or not. I must say, the critics who hate this film are crazy because it is a really really good film. I think the only thing about it is that i compare it to the original, when Alice was a little girl, and i still prefer the little animations. But that doesnt mean this film isnt good. But, i must say that i LOVE the fashion and jewlery lines that came out because of this film and i really really want some pretty charm bracelets! I think its worth the watch, but im not sure on dvd-ing it?
The Joneses (Still in Cinema)
Clever, very clever, idea for a film. A family which isnt a family all selling off what they have. In a way, i wouldnt mind living their life, but then again it looks very lonely. I saw this in May, so its still a pretty fresh film. If you didnt at the beginning of the film know they were a fake family, then youd end up gagging and horrified (like my step-sister was) and the beginning of the film because of an event that occurs. Bless. But when this is out on dvd, ill decide if ill buy it or not. Im still not sure, because it has too many ups and downs in it. Still pretty good though.. and clever 8-)
Street Dance 3D (Still in Cinema)
Umm, this is basically an English Step Up? People street dance, get into some form of bother, have to dance with ballet dancers, they need new dancers for a competition so use the ballet dancers in their rountine then voilla they win! I felt id seen it all before, apart from in this film there were bad british accents, from british actors?! Dont ask me how, because it threw me myself. Just dont get me wrong, i enjoyed it but its one of those films that youve seen before so you know whats gona happen anyway. Pretty sure ill enjoy Step Up 3D, as it is the original movies ;)
an essay of films :) if you read it, i hope you enjoyed reading it. and please, feel free to agree or disagree with my opinions :) xx
